Just take a train....

This is my latest handcraft. It's made from an embroidery kit that I bought about this time last year. One of our local home building supply stores was getting rid of their crafts section, and the kits were marked down to $7 from their regular $30!! So, I bought 3 of them. We didn't have DX's referral at that point. And we sure didn't know he'd enjoy trains as much as he does! Anyways, the embroidery has been on my nightstand for months, and I've been picking away at it in small doses. It's nice to see it finally framed! Now, I'll have to see if I can pick up the pace with the ones I bought for the girls.

Here's DX with his two new "Thomas the Tank Engine" trains that he got in the mail on Christmas Eve from the lovely Channing!! Channing and her Mom were part of our travel group of 12 families. One of the Moms organized a not-so-secret Santa gift exchange (thanks Tracey!). It's so great to be able to keep in touch with these families. I hope we can keep it up as the years go by. The kids are all doing so great!

You should bring DX to our house to play, we have quite the train collection including Thomas stuff. It all gets played with so rarely these days but we are keeping it all just in case...

You did a great job! So cute! And that DX is pretty darn cute too -- I love how focused he is.
